Christophe is an expert for strategic consulting missions with managerial experience in an international sphere, particularly in the United States (management of foreign subsidary), Japan and Europe, with the mangement of high level teams (>40p). He works with leaders or decision makers of major companies or organizations in the areas of distribution, industry, services, and administration and communities for strategic consulting missions in the formulation and conduct of their strategic development plans and particularly in the design of disruptive and innovative strategy.
He is an expert in consumer issues for the distribution sectors or the industry. In particular, he informed strategic thinking management major groups in the world of home furnishings (including materials and DIY) and enterprises, person or FMCG (great general distribution). He also developed through its various missions, expertise in the areas of strategic marketing, new technologies and communication (especially in the exploitation of Internet media and technology digital) and sustainable development.
He also advised the government (including the Ministry of Economy), as part of various missions on issues of economy of consumption of industry and commerce, purchasing power, competition or commercial zoning. In 2019, he was also auditioned by the Economic and Social Economic Council in France (CESE) for work on "Environmental labeling, the lever for the implementation of the circular economy".
Prior to founding YuKan, he was directly involved in the European Commission's "Single market for green products" program by being in charge of the Technical Secretariat (TS) of a working group.
Founder Asterop SA and still its largest shareholder, a French IT company founded in 1999 specializing in business intelligence technologies and databases, dedicated to strategic marketing, he has led since its and creation until 2008. In this period he has led its growth strategy and in particular its development international with the creation of a subsidiary in the USA and the establishment of a strategic alliance in Japan.
With a degree in bio-engineering, he has more than 10 years of experience in LCA in textile, food processing, packaging and energy.
Since 2013, he is part of the Technical Helpdesk for the European Commission in the framework of the Environmental Footprint (EF) pilot phase. He was also involved in the Technical Advisory Board and was especially involved in the writing of the issue paper on the “Data needs matrix” (DNM).
As an expert for ADEME (French Environment and Energy Management Agency), he was a member of the ISO TC207/SC7 committee, which has entitled him to participate actively in the working group of ISO 14067 and ISO 14069 standards on carbon footprint calculations for products and companies. He also participated in the revision of the PAS2050, and coordinated a project with BASF, Plastics Europe, DEKRA and ADEME, focused on the testing environmental footprint calculation methodology for products and companies which was developed by the JRC-ISPRA for the European Commission. He was also member of the LCA steering committee at UNEP/SETAC and has participated in the development of the French PCR on textile.
In 2009, he has worked as an expert for the Minister of the climate and energy in Belgium in the context of the organization of the “Spring of the Environment”, in charge of giving various workshops with the stakeholders. This experience allowed him to acquire a large ability to understand the society’s interplay of actors.
Frederic is PEF and LCA expert at YuKan. He is a civil engineer, graduated from the Institut Supérieur de l’Aéronautique et de l’Espace (ISAE), Toulouse, France and Université Libre de Bruxelles (Belgium). Prior to joining YuKan, he worked 5 years as LCA expert and he was in charge of the development of LCA-tools for the packaging and textile sectors.
By working previously on the development of several Life Cycle Inventories (for the glass industry) and on their integration into the ELCD (nodes) and Ecoinvent databases, Frédéric is perfectly familiar with the formats and all the technical aspects relating to environmental data.
Supported by the YuKan production team, Frédéric ensures the modeling and integration of sectoral referentiels (PEFCR and PEF models) in the YuKan platform, their perfect compliance with the reference documents published by the European Commission.
His understanding of the technical issues at the environmental and IT levels also allows him to contribute to the permanent improvements of the platform, whether in terms of current customer services or in the definition of new services and applications.
Sylvain has a degree in Computer Science from the Institut Paul Lambin. He has more than 7 years of experience in development of online LCA tools.
This experience has made him expert on the different environmental data formats (ILCD, Ecospold) and has provided him with very advanced knowledge on the life cycle analysis of the following sectors : packaging, beverage, energy, lighting and Textile.
His full-stack developer profile has enabled him to build the solid technical foundations of the YuKan platform, by choosing the most relevant technologies, allowing the security of our users' data and a user-friendly platform with very powerful response times.
With the IT team, he developed both the online platform and the modular modeling engine.
Klara has a degree in civil engineering from Université Libre de Bruxelles (Belgium). Before joining YuKan, she worked 3 years in the IT sector. She was part of the customer support team, handling customers requests and analyzing both legal and customers requirements to provide appropriate IT solutions. During an additionnal master degree in environmental sciences and management, she gained experience in LCA, energy and waste treatment.
With her experience at YuKan on the following sectors : « Dairy Product » ; « Heavy duty Liquid laundry Detergent » ; « PET food » ; « Beer » ; « Packed Water » ; « Decorative Paint » ; « Pasta » and her experience in managing clients ; Klara ensures the perfect use of the platform by YuKan users. She organizes webinars and training sessions and coordinates the support provided to our clients.
In addition to this task, Klara also ensures the integration of new employees through training on internal tools.
